Mary Poppins opened fifty-three years ago, with Julie Andrews flying high into the clouds with her umbrella and spoons full of sugar. It became one of Disney’s most iconic and beloved films of all time, and earned Andrews an Academy Award for Best Actress. Mary Poppins has since been adapted to the Broadway stage and was the inspiration for 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks. With all the success Poppins has conjured throughout the years, she has never had a sequel, until now.
