This year Disney brought back to theaters the film-classic “The Jungle Book” as an animation adventure.  The only real performer is Neel Sethi, who demonstrates his exceptional talent as he makes his film debut.

Neel Sethi is only 12 years old and has landed the role of a lifetime, the one that other young actors dream about. Neel plays Mowgli in the Disney remake of “The Jungle Book”. This animation film which was almost entirely filmed in front of a green screen, and for that reason it called for a large amount of talent. After months of casting calls around the world, director Jon Fahreau found the young New Yorker with Indian roots. He handpicked him out of 2000 actors. Fahreau is sure that this will not be Neel’s last role and his big debut will be paving his way to Hollywood.

Our reporter Rachel Kasuch met the young talented actor in Los Angeles to sit down and talk to him about how it felt to have been picked from thousands of candidates for the role of Mowgli and what his future plans look like.
