Family friendly LEGO Batman will come out on top, with sexy thriller Fifty Shades Darker not too far behind.

The Lego Batman movie is the sequel to the 2014 smash The Lego Movie. Fifty Shades Darker is the sequel to the massive 2014 hit Fifty Shades of Grey. John Wick: Chapter 2 is the sequel to the 2014 cult fave John Wick. This weekend, all three sequels are coming to the battle. With all the anticipation flying around, expect the family friendly The Lego Batman movie to come out on top of the sexually charged BDSM Fifty Shades Darker and R-rated action cult flick John Wick: Chapter 2.

1st place will be: The Lego Batman Movie. The Lego Movie of 2014 was a smash hit, exceeding expectations and scoring an Oscar nom. This time around, the legos are incorporating DC Comics into the film with Batman as it’s star lead and it’s opening in 4,000 theaters. Since the animated film is appeasing many different demographics, and it is family friendly, The Lego Batman Movie should have no problem beating out the competition and being the number one movie of the weekend.

2nd place will be: Fifty Shades Darker. The sequel, based on the romance lit trilogy by E.L. James, comes out just three years after Fifty Shades of Grey. The sexy film starts right where the last one left off, with Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) running out on Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). His BDSM needs turned her off, but she comes back for more while he battles his inner demons, and she reacts to his past ex-lover who is jealous. The R-rated sexually charged drama will still open to very impressive numbers in over 3,700 theaters, but will most likely be second to The Lego Batman Movie.

3rd place will be: John Wick: Chapter 2. Keanu Reeves returns as the title character in the anticipated sequel. John Wick came out in 2014 and became a cult classic hit. It wasn’t expected to do very well but week by week it went up in numbers and did even better on Netflix with word-of-mouth. Wick returns as an ex-hitman who has returned to the world of criminality to uncover who the man is who put a bounty on his life, opening in 2,100 theaters.

4th place will be: Split. M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller has been number one for the last three weeks. The film has now made $101 million. James McAvoy stars as a man with twenty-four personalities. He kidnaps three girls and holds them captive. They have to try to persuade the nice personalities to let them go before the evil “monster” takes over.

5th place will be: Hidden Figures. The award-winning film has now made a total of $121 million at the box office. It is nominated for three Oscars and has accumulated excellent word-of-mouth. Three black female mathematicians (Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae, Octavia Spencer) works at NASA in the 60’s. They directly help send the first man into space. Kevin Costner and Kirsten Dunst costar.

Rounding out the top ten should be: In 6th place: Horror sequel Rings, in 7th place: A Dog’s Purpose (Dennis Quaid), in 8th place: La La Land (Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone), in 9th place: Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (Milla Jovovich), and in 10th place: jukebox animated musical Sing.
