February 1952 – the New England coast is hit by one of the worst storms which has ever been experienced.  A oil tanker with a crew of 30 man get’s caught right in the middle of the storm and get’s literally torn in half. In freezing temperatures and 65 foot waves four members of the Coast Guard are trying to rescue the crew.
