Scott, the son of Hollywood star Clint Eastwood was overwhelmed by the choice. “It’s hard to describe how much I look forward to the next ‘Fast and Furious’. For me they are more than just sequels, they are a legacy,” he adds, referring especially to the deceased Paul Walker († 40). “Paul was a close friend of mine. We used to surf and travel together. He was a great role model and had strongly influenced me in my younger years. He was like a big brother to me. With this role it’s a dream come true. Paul – I’ll make you proud,” says the 30 year old actor.
In addition to the above there will be of course the regulars Actor Vin Diesel (48), Michelle Rodriguez (37) as well as Jordana Brewster (35) and Tyrese Gibson (37). Also back on board is Dwayne Johnson (43) and Jason Statham (48). It has been speculated that Eva Mendes (42), who was in Part 2 and 5, may return to the cast as well.
“Fast & Furious 8” will be in the American cinemas on April 14th, 2017. The 9th adaptation will follow in 2019 and the 10th in 2021.
